And about five o’clock that afternoon ¹  he went out and found others standing around, and said to them, ‘Why are you standing here all day without work?’

And every priest stands day after day ¹  serving and offering the same sacrifices again and again – sacrifices that can never take away sins.

Do not grumble against one another, brothers and sisters, ¹  so that you may not be judged. See, the judge stands before the gates! ² 

He called a child, had him stand among them,

When it was about nine o’clock in the morning, ¹  he went out again and saw others standing around in the marketplace without work.

He ¹  will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

When ¹  some of the bystanders heard it, they said, “This man is calling for Elijah.”

If ¹  a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom will not be able to stand.

If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.

An ¹  angel of the Lord, ²  standing on the right side of the altar of incense, appeared ³  to him.

The chief priests and the experts in the law ¹  were there, vehemently accusing him. ² 

Again the next day John ¹  was standing there ²  with two of his disciples.

So they ¹  proposed two candidates: ²  Joseph called Barsabbas (also called Justus) and Matthias.

When they had brought them, they stood them before the council, ¹  and the high priest questioned ²  them,

They stood these men before the apostles, who prayed ¹  and placed ²  their hands on them.

Do we then nullify ¹  the law through faith? Absolutely not! Instead ²  we uphold the law.

So let the one who thinks he is standing be careful that he does not fall.

But ¹  he knew ²  their thoughts, ³  and said to the man who had the withered hand, “Get up and stand here.” ⁴  So ⁵  he rose and stood there.

(Now the slaves ¹  and the guards ²  were standing around a charcoal fire they had made, warming themselves because it was cold. ³  Peter also was standing with them, warming himself.) ⁴ 

Who are you to pass judgment on another’s servant? Before his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord ¹  is able to make him stand.
