Then you will say, “The branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.”

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say, rejoice!

I have told you now before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe. ¹ 

But this is what was spoken about through the prophet Joel: ¹ 

Watch out, ¹  then, that what is spoken about by ²  the prophets does not happen to you:

What then shall we say that Abraham, our ancestor according to the flesh, ¹  has discovered regarding this matter? ² 

What shall we say then? Are we to remain in sin so that grace may increase?

What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

What shall we say then? Is there injustice with God? Absolutely not!

You will say to me then, “Why does he still find fault? For who has ever resisted his will?”

But someone will say, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?”

They discussed with one another, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say, ‘Then why did you not believe him?’

and to offer a sacrifice according to what is specified in the law of the Lord, a pair of doves ¹  or two young pigeons. ² 

Jesus ¹  answered him, ²  “It is said, ‘You are not to put the Lord your God to the test.’” ³ 

But ¹  he will reply, ²  ‘I don’t know where you come from! ³  Go away from me, all you evildoers!’ ⁴ 

nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is ¹  in your midst.” ² 

Then people ¹  will say to you, ‘Look, there he is!’ ²  or ‘Look, here he is!’ Do not go out or chase after them. ³ 

If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ just say, ‘The Lord needs ¹  it.’”

for you have had five husbands, and the man you are living with ¹  now is not your husband. This you said truthfully!”

What shall we say then? – that the Gentiles who did not pursue righteousness obtained it, that is, a righteousness that is by faith,
