As you enter the house, give it greetings. ¹ 

Jesus ¹  entered Jericho ²  and was passing through it.

“Exert every effort ¹  to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.

In fact, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle ¹  than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”

Therefore it remains for some to enter it, yet those to whom it was previously proclaimed did not enter because of disobedience.

For if someone ¹  comes into your assembly ²  wearing a gold ring and fine clothing, and a poor person enters in filthy clothes,

“But woe to you, experts in the law ¹  and you Pharisees, hypocrites! ²  You keep locking people out of the kingdom of heaven! ³  For you neither enter nor permit those trying to enter to go in. ⁴ 

“Enter through the narrow gate, because the gate is wide and the way is spacious that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.

Woe to you experts in religious law! You have taken away ¹  the key to knowledge! You did not go in yourselves, and you hindered ²  those who were going in.”

I am the door. If anyone enters through me, he will be saved, and will come in and go out, ¹  and find pasture. ² 

When he entered Capernaum, ¹  a centurion ²  came to him asking for help: ³ 

Then ¹  they went to Capernaum. ²  When the Sabbath came, ³  Jesus ⁴  went into the synagogue ⁵  and began to teach.

Now ¹  after some days, when he returned to Capernaum, ²  the news spread ³  that he was at home.

Jesus ¹  sent him home, saying, “Do not even go into the village.” ² 

The ¹  angel ²  came ³  to her and said, “Greetings, favored one, ⁴  the Lord is with you!” ⁵ 

and entered Zechariah’s house and greeted Elizabeth.

Whatever ¹  house you enter, stay there ²  until you leave the area. ³ 

Now an argument started among the disciples ¹  as to which of them might be ²  the greatest.

Whenever ¹  you enter a house, ²  first say, ‘May peace ³  be on this house!’

And when the people ¹  saw it, they all complained, ²  “He has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.” ³
