In the same way, the one who had two gained two more.

The ¹  one with the two talents also came and said, ‘Sir, you entrusted two talents to me. See, I have gained two more.’

and to put on sandals but not to wear two tunics. ¹ 

Then ¹  Jesus ²  said, “A man had two sons.

and the two will become one flesh. ¹  So they are no longer two, but one flesh.

For from now on ¹  there will be five in one household divided, three against two and two against three.

(These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth.) ¹ 

After this ¹  the Lord appointed seventy-two ²  others and sent them on ahead of him two by two into every town ³  and place where he himself was about to go.

But if he does not listen, take one or two others with you, so that at the testimony of two or three witnesses every matter may be established. ¹ 

Jesus ¹  called the twelve and began to send them out two by two. He gave them authority over the unclean spirits. ² 

And if anyone forces you to go one mile, ¹  go with him two.

Now ¹  when the other ten ²  heard this, ³  they were angry with the two brothers.

All the law and the prophets depend ¹  on these two commandments.”

Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one left. ¹ 

There will be two women grinding grain with a mill; ¹  one will be taken and one left.

Then two outlaws were crucified with him, one on his right and one on his left.

And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, ¹  worth less than a penny.

And they crucified two outlaws with him, one on his right and one on his left. ¹ 

And the temple curtain ¹  was torn in two, from top to bottom.

Then ¹  two men, Moses and Elijah, ²  began talking with him. ³
