The folds ¹  of its flesh are tightly joined; they are firm on it, immovable. ² 

Solomon sat on his father David’s throne, and his royal authority ¹  was firmly solidified.

For they suffer no pain; ¹  their bodies ²  are strong and well-fed. ³ 

ל (Lamed) O Lord, your instructions endure; they stand secure in heaven. ¹ 

For now we are alive again, ¹  if you stand firm in the Lord.

Stay alert, stand firm in the faith, show courage, be strong.

For he spoke, and it ¹  came into existence, he issued the decree, ²  and it stood firm.

when he established the clouds above, when the fountains of the deep grew strong, ¹ 

Strengthen the hands that have gone limp, steady the knees that shake! ¹ 

Therefore, brothers and sisters, ¹  stand firm and hold on to the traditions that we taught you, whether by speech or by letter. ²

I do not mean that we rule over your faith, but we are workers with you for your joy, because by faith you stand firm. ¹ 

But Christ ¹  is faithful as a son over God’s ²  house. We are of his house, ³  if in fact we hold firmly ⁴  to our confidence and the hope we take pride in. ⁵ 

For we have become partners with Christ, if in fact we hold our initial confidence ¹  firm until the end.

They will fall down, ¹  but we ²  will stand firm. ³ 

When the earth and all its inhabitants dissolve in fear, ¹  I make its pillars secure.” ²  (Selah)

The priests carrying the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firmly on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan. All Israel crossed over on dry ground until the entire nation was on the other side. ¹ 

Jerusalem ¹  is a city designed to accommodate an assembly. ² 

However, God’s solid foundation remains standing, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are his,” ¹  and “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord ²  must turn away from evil.”

Say among the nations, “The Lord reigns! The world is established, it cannot be moved. He judges the nations fairly.”
