At ¹  that time ²  a great disturbance ³  took place concerning the Way. ⁴ 

angry ¹  because they were teaching the people and announcing ²  in Jesus the resurrection of the dead.

When King Herod ¹  heard this he was alarmed, and all Jerusalem with him.

At daybreak ¹  there was great consternation ²  among the soldiers over what had become of Peter.

When ¹  they had brought them ²  before the magistrates, they said, “These men are throwing our city into confusion. ³  They are ⁴  Jews

I will establish a place for my people Israel and settle ¹  them there; they will live there and not be disturbed ²  any more. Violent men ³  will not oppress them again, as they did in the beginning

They caused confusion among ¹  the crowd and the city officials ²  who heard these things.

In those days ¹  no one could travel safely, ²  for total chaos had overtaken all the people of the surrounding lands. ³ 

Where now is the den of the lions, ¹  the feeding place ²  of the young lions, where ³  the lion, lioness, ⁴  and lion cub once prowled ⁵  and no one disturbed them? ⁶ 

which I was doing when they found me in the temple, ritually purified, ¹  without a crowd or a disturbance. ² 

I will establish a place for my people Israel and settle ¹  them there; they will live there and not be disturbed ²  anymore. Violent men will not oppress them again, as they did in the beginning ³ 

Samuel said to Saul, “Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?” Saul replied, “I am terribly troubled! The Philistines are fighting against me and God has turned away from me. He does not answer me – not by the prophets nor by dreams. So I have called on you to tell me what I should do.”

All of them conspired together to move with armed forces ¹  against Jerusalem and to create a disturbance in it.

“This is why ¹  my troubled thoughts bring me back ²  – because of my feelings ³  within me.

“As for me, Daniel, my spirit was distressed, ¹  and the visions of my mind ²  were alarming me.

But ¹  she was greatly troubled ²  by his words and began to wonder about the meaning of this greeting. ³ 

and those who suffered from ¹  unclean ²  spirits were cured.

for before the law was given, ¹  sin was in the world, but there is no accounting for sin ²  when there is no law.

Since we have heard that some have gone out from among us with no orders from us and have confused ¹  you, upsetting ²  your minds ³  by what they said, ⁴ 

The king ¹  said, “Leave it alone! No one must touch his bones.” So they left his bones undisturbed, as well as the bones of the Israelite prophet buried beside him. ²
