They sacrificed their sons and daughters to demons. ¹ 

and to have authority to cast out demons.

But the Pharisees ¹  said, “By the ruler ²  of demons he casts out demons.” ³ 

But some of them said, “By the power of Beelzebul, ¹  the ruler ²  of demons, he casts out demons.”

So ¹  he healed many who were sick with various diseases and drove out many demons. ²  But ³  he would not permit the demons to speak, ⁴  because they knew him. ⁵ 

Now ¹  he was casting out a demon that was mute. ²  When ³  the demon had gone out, the man who had been mute began to speak, ⁴  and the crowds were amazed.

You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot take part in the table of the Lord and the table of demons.

But when the Pharisees ¹  heard this they said, “He does not cast out demons except by the power of Beelzebul, ²  the ruler ³  of demons!”

The experts in the law ¹  who came down from Jerusalem ²  said, “He is possessed by Beelzebul,” ³  and, “By the ruler ⁴  of demons he casts out demons.”

No, I mean that what the pagans sacrifice ¹  is to demons and not to God. I do not want you to be partners with demons.

Others said, “These are not the words ¹  of someone possessed by a demon. A demon cannot cause the blind to see, ²  can it?” ³ 

Then ¹  Jesus rebuked ²  the demon and it came out of him, and the boy was healed from that moment.

So ¹  he went into all of Galilee preaching in their synagogues ²  and casting out demons.

These signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages; ¹ 

Now ¹  in the synagogue ²  there was a man who had the spirit of an unclean ³  demon, and he cried out with a loud voice,

Then ¹  the seventy-two ²  returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons submit to ³  us in your name!” ⁴ 

But if I cast out demons by the finger ¹  of God, then the kingdom of God ²  has already overtaken ³  you.

The crowd ¹  answered, “You’re possessed by a demon! ²  Who is trying to kill you?” ³ 

For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon!’ ¹ 

But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God ¹  has already overtaken ²  you.
