So this sin will become your downfall. You will be like a high wall that bulges and cracks and is ready to collapse; it crumbles suddenly, in a flash. ¹ 

They will fall down, ¹  but we ²  will stand firm. ³ 

When the wall has collapsed, people will ask you, “Where is the whitewash you coated it with?”

The sluice gates ¹  are opened; the royal palace is deluged ²  and dissolves. ³ 

But the person who hears and does not put my words into practice ¹  is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When ²  the river burst against that house, ³  it collapsed immediately, and was utterly destroyed!” ⁴ 

Is not their excess wealth ¹  taken away from them? ²  They die, ³  yet without attaining wisdom. ⁴ 

His victims are crushed and beaten down; they are trapped in his sturdy nets. ¹ 

When the foundations ¹  are destroyed, what can the godly ²  accomplish?” ³ 

Between her feet he collapsed, he fell limp ¹  and was lifeless; ²  between her feet he collapsed and fell limp, in the spot where he collapsed, there he fell limp – violently murdered! ³ 

and suddenly ¹  a great wind ²  swept across ³  the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell on the young people, and they died! And I – only I alone – escaped to tell you!”

When Gideon arrived, he heard a man telling another man about a dream he had. ¹  The man ²  said, “Look! I had a dream. I saw ³  a stale cake of barley bread rolling into the Midianite camp. It hit a tent so hard it knocked it over and turned it upside down. The tent just collapsed.” ⁴ 

The rams’ horns sounded ¹  and when the army ²  heard the signal, ³  they gave a loud battle cry. ⁴  The wall collapsed ⁵  and the warriors charged straight ahead into the city and captured it. ⁶ 

He takes his battle position ¹  and shakes ²  the earth; with a mere look he frightens ³  the nations. The ancient mountains disintegrate; ⁴  the primeval hills are flattened. He travels on the ancient roads. ⁵ 

When you hear the signal from the ram’s horn, ¹  have the whole army give a loud battle cry. ²  Then the city wall will collapse ³  and the warriors should charge straight ahead.” ⁴ 

Those who hate you ¹  will be clothed with shame, ²  and the tent of the wicked will be no more.”

For I am about to stumble, and I am in constant pain. ¹ 

For we lie in the dirt, with our bellies pressed to the ground. ¹ 

Laziness brings on ¹  a deep sleep, ²  and the idle person ³  will go hungry. ⁴ 

When the wicked increase, ¹  transgression increases, but the righteous will see ²  their downfall.

If ¹  a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom will not be able to stand.
