They ¹  found that the stone had been rolled away from the tomb, ² 

The one who digs a pit ¹  will fall into it; the one who rolls a stone – it will come back on him.

They had been asking each other, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?”

But ¹  when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled back.

The sky ¹  was split apart ²  like a scroll being rolled up, ³  and every mountain and island was moved from its place.

Joshua said, “Roll large stones over the mouth of the cave and post guards in front of it. ¹ 

They come in as through a wide breach; amid the crash ¹  they come rolling in. ² 

The Lord said to Joshua, “Today I have taken away ¹  the disgrace ²  of Egypt from you.” So that place is called Gilgal ³  even to this day.

When all the flocks were gathered there, the shepherds ¹  would roll the stone off the mouth of the well and water the sheep. Then they would put the stone back in its place over the well’s mouth.

“We can’t,” they said, “until all the flocks are gathered and the stone is rolled off the mouth of the well. Then we water ¹  the sheep.”

and placed it ¹  in his own new tomb that he had cut in the rock. ²  Then he rolled a great stone across the entrance ³  of the tomb and went away.

Suddenly there was a severe earthquake, for an angel of the Lord ¹  descending from heaven came and rolled away the stone and sat on it.

Don’t spread the news in Gath! ¹  Don’t shed even a single tear! ²  In Beth Leaphrah sit in the dust! ³ 

Justice must flow like torrents of water, righteous actions ¹  like a stream that never dries up.

After Joseph ¹  bought a linen cloth ²  and took down the body, he wrapped it in the linen and placed it in a tomb cut out of the rock. ³  Then ⁴  he rolled a stone across the entrance ⁵  of the tomb.

Now it was reported to Saul, “Look, the army is sinning against the Lord by eating even the blood.” He said, “All of you have broken the covenant! ¹  Roll a large stone over here to me.”

They will lament loudly ¹  over you and cry bitterly. They will throw dust on their heads and roll in the ashes; ²
