And this is what we intend to do, ¹  if God permits.

“You must not allow a sorceress to live. ¹ 

then you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or mother.

They said, “Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of dismissal and to divorce her.” ¹ 

was caught up into paradise ¹  and heard things too sacred to be put into words, ²  things that a person ³  is not permitted to speak.

For I do not want to see you now in passing, since I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord allows.

But I do not allow ¹  a woman to teach or exercise authority ²  over a man. She must remain quiet. ³ 

Jesus ¹  said to them, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because of your hard hearts, ²  but from the beginning it was not this way.

the women ¹  should be silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak. ²  Rather, let them be in submission, as in fact the law says.

So Jesus replied ¹  to him, “Let it happen now, ²  for it is right for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then John ³  yielded ⁴  to him.

He let no one oppress them; he disciplined kings for their sake,

He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James, ¹  and John, the brother of James.

and he would not permit anyone to carry merchandise ¹  through the temple courts. ² 

In ¹  past ²  generations he allowed all the nations ³  to go their own ways,

When they came to ¹  Mysia, ²  they attempted to go into Bithynia, ³  but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow ⁴  them to do this, ⁵ 

You didn’t even allow me to kiss my daughters and my grandchildren ¹  good-bye. You have acted foolishly!

Throw your burden ¹  upon the Lord, and he will sustain you. ²  He will never allow the godly to be upended. ³ 

Their wicked deeds do not allow them to return to their God; because a spirit of idolatry ¹  controls their heart, ²  and they do not acknowledge the Lord.

So ¹  he healed many who were sick with various diseases and drove out many demons. ²  But ³  he would not permit the demons to speak, ⁴  because they knew him. ⁵ 

So Agrippa ¹  said to Paul, “You have permission ²  to speak for yourself.” Then Paul held out his hand ³  and began his defense: ⁴
