The Lord told Isaiah, ¹ 

When King Hezekiah’s servants came to Isaiah,

Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Listen to the word of the Lord,

This fulfilled what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet: ¹ 

Here is the message about Judah and Jerusalem ¹  that was revealed to Isaiah son of Amoz. ² 

¹ This is a message about Babylon that God revealed to Isaiah son of Amoz: ² 

Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Listen to the word of the Lord who commands armies:

so that what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet would be fulfilled: ¹ 

Hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you when he said,

For this reason they could not believe, ¹  because again Isaiah said,

and was returning home, sitting ¹  in his chariot, reading ²  the prophet Isaiah.

Isaiah was still in the middle courtyard when the Lord told him, ¹ 

The rest of the events of Uzziah’s reign, from start to finish, were recorded by the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz. ¹ 

King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz prayed about this and cried out to heaven.

and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He ¹  unrolled ²  the scroll and found the place where it was written,

Isaiah said these things because he saw Christ’s ¹  glory, and spoke about him.

He sent Eliakim the palace supervisor, Shebna the scribe, and the leading priests, ¹  clothed in sackcloth, with this message to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz:

Isaiah ordered, “Get a fig cake.” So they did as he ordered ¹  and placed it on the ulcerated sore, and he recovered. ² 

Hezekiah had said to Isaiah, “What is the confirming sign that the Lord will heal me and that I will go up to the Lord’s temple the day after tomorrow?”
