So we rebuilt the wall, and the entire wall was joined together up to half its height. ¹  The people were enthusiastic in their work. ² 

He said to me, “Son of man, dig into the wall.” So I dug into the wall and discovered a doorway.

Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord,

Then Rahab ¹  let them down by a rope ²  through the window. (Her ³  house was built as part of the city wall; she lived in the wall.) ⁴

I brought the leaders of Judah up on top of the wall, and I appointed two large choirs to give thanks. One was to proceed ¹  on the top of the wall southward toward the Dung Gate.

The second choir was proceeding ¹  in the opposite direction. I followed them, along with half the people, on top of the wall, past the Tower of the Ovens to the Broad Wall,

I will vent my rage against the wall, and against those who coated it with whitewash. Then I will say to you, “The wall is no more and those who whitewashed it are no more –

and Saul threw the spear, thinking, “I’ll nail David to the wall!” But David escaped from him on two different occasions.

Indeed, ¹ with your help ²  I can charge ³  against an army; ⁴  by my God’s power ⁵  I can jump over a wall. ⁶ 

So the wall was completed on the twenty-fifth day of Elul, in just fifty-two days.

When the priests and Levites had purified themselves, they purified the people, the gates, and the wall.

Indeed, ¹  with your help ²  I can charge against ³  an army; ⁴  by my God’s power ⁵  I can jump over a wall. ⁶ 

He brought me to the entrance of the court, and as I watched, I noticed a hole in the wall.

from the ground to the area above the entrance, cherubim and decorative palm trees were carved on the wall of the outer sanctuary.

But his disciples took him at night and let him down through an opening ¹  in the wall by lowering him in a basket. ² 

but I was let down in a rope-basket ¹  through a window in the city wall, and escaped his hands.

The city’s ¹  wall is made ²  of jasper and the city is pure gold, like transparent glass. ³
