The earth is broken in pieces, the earth is ripped to shreds, the earth shakes violently. ¹ 

Men ¹  move boundary stones; they seize the flock and pasture them. ²

men ¹  who were carried off ²  before their time, ³  when the flood ⁴  was poured out ⁵  on their foundations? ⁶ 

Why ²  do the nations rebel? ³  Why ⁴  are the countries ⁵  devising ⁶  plots that will fail? ⁷ 

My heart beats violently ¹  within me; the horrors of death overcome me. ²
