Otherwise they will rip ¹  me ²  to shreds like a lion; they will tear me to bits and no one will be able to rescue me. ³ 

He ¹  is like a lion ²  that wants to tear its prey to bits, ³  like a young lion crouching ⁴  in hidden places.

A time to rip, and a time to sew; a time to keep silent, and a time to speak.

You who tear yourself ¹  to pieces in your anger, will the earth be abandoned ²  for your sake? Or will a rock be moved from its place? ³

There was an opening in the center of the robe, like the opening of a collar, with an edge all around the opening so that it could not be torn.
