For her house ¹  sinks ²  down to death, and her paths lead ³  to the place of the departed spirits. ⁴ 

Because of laziness the roof ¹  caves in, and because of idle hands ²  the house leaks.

The sovereign Lord who commands armies will do this. ¹  He touches the earth and it dissolves; ²  all who live on it mourn. The whole earth ³  rises like the River Nile, ⁴  and then grows calm ⁵  like the Nile in Egypt. ⁶ 

Far from where people live ¹  he sinks a shaft, in places travelers have long forgotten, ²  far from other people he dangles and sways. ³ 

Therefore, as flaming fire ¹  devours straw, and dry grass disintegrates in the flames, so their root will rot, and their flower will blow away like dust. ²  For they have rejected the law of the Lord who commands armies, they have spurned the commands ³  of the Holy One of Israel. ⁴ 

I ¹  continually think about ²  this, and I ³  am depressed. ⁴ 

His victims are crushed and beaten down; they are trapped in his sturdy nets. ¹ 

Who really knows if the human spirit ¹  ascends upward, and the animal’s spirit descends into the earth?

Your wealth, products, and merchandise, your sailors and captains, your ship’s carpenters, ¹  your merchants, and all your fighting men within you, along with all your crew who are in you, will fall into the heart of the seas on the day of your downfall.
