I thought this was a good idea, ¹  so I sent ²  twelve men from among you, one from each tribe.

but Paul chose Silas and set out, commended ¹  to the grace of the Lord by the brothers and sisters. ² 

So in the same way at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace.
