A poor person makes supplications, ¹  but a rich man answers harshly. ² 

A poor person is disliked ¹  even by his neighbors, but those who love the rich are many.

The rich man had a great many flocks and herds.

The rich and the poor meet together; ¹  the Lord is the creator of them both. ² 

he has filled the hungry with good things, ¹  and has sent the rich away empty. ² 

Jesus ¹  looked up ²  and saw the rich putting their gifts into the offering box. ³ 

Asher’s ¹  food will be rich, ²  and he will provide delicacies ³  to royalty.

Pay attention, all you people, ¹  both rich and poor!

“But woe ¹  to you who are rich, for you have received ²  your comfort ³  already.

But the rich person’s pride should be in his humiliation, because he will pass away like a wildflower in the meadow. ¹ 

(Now Abram was very wealthy ¹  in livestock, silver, and gold.) ² 

Do not wear yourself out to become rich; be wise enough to restrain yourself. ¹ 

But when the man ¹  heard this he became very sad, ²  for he was extremely wealthy.

Do not be afraid when a man becomes rich ¹  and his wealth multiplies! ² 

The wealth of a rich person is like ¹  a fortified city, ²  but the poor are brought to ruin ³  by ⁴  their poverty.

There is one who pretends to be rich ¹  and yet has nothing; another pretends to be poor ²  and yet possesses great wealth. ³ 

The wealth ¹  of a rich person is like ²  a strong city, ³  and it is like a high wall in his imagination. ⁴ 

The rich rule over ¹  the poor, and the borrower is servant ²  to the lender.

A poor person ¹  who walks in his integrity is better than one who is perverse in his ways ²  even though ³  he is rich. ⁴ 

A rich person ¹  is wise in his own eyes, ²  but a discerning poor person can evaluate him properly. ³
