He rained down manna for them to eat; he gave them the grain of heaven. ¹ 

Then the Lord rained down ¹  sulfur and fire ²  on Sodom and Gomorrah. It was sent down from the sky by the Lord. ³ 

He rained down meat on them like dust, birds as numerous as the sand on the seashores. ¹ 

but on the day Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. ¹ 

“Son of man, say to her: ‘You are a land that receives no rain ¹  or showers in the day of my anger.’ ² 

When Moses extended ¹  his staff toward the sky, the Lord ²  sent thunder ³  and hail, and fire fell to the earth; ⁴  so the Lord caused hail to rain down on the land of Egypt.

He rained hail down on their cattle, ¹  and hurled lightning bolts down on their livestock. ² 

“I withheld rain from you three months before the harvest. ¹  I gave rain to one city, but not to another. One field ²  would get rain, but the field that received no rain dried up.

And the rain fell ¹  on the earth forty days and forty nights.

But when he was accused by the chief priests and the elders, he did not respond.

They ¹  continued to stone Stephen while he prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!”

Elijah was a human being ¹  like us, and he prayed earnestly ²  that it would not rain and there was no rain on the land for three years and six months!

Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth and spread it out for herself on a rock. From the beginning of the harvest until the rain fell on them, ¹  she did not allow the birds of the air to feed ²  on them by day, nor the wild animals ³  by night.

Then, ¹  turning toward the woman, he said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house. You gave me no water for my feet, ²  but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.
