seven Israelite tribes had not been assigned their allotted land. ¹ 

The tribes go up ¹  there, ²  the tribes of the Lord, where it is required that Israel give thanks to the name of the Lord. ³ 

Dan ¹  will judge ²  his people as one of the tribes of Israel.

Now select for yourselves twelve men from the tribes of Israel, one per tribe.

Now, divide up this land ¹  among the nine tribes and the half-tribe of Manasseh.”

They assigned from the tribes of Judah and Simeon the cities listed below.

The people regretted what had happened to ¹  Benjamin because the Lord had weakened ²  the Israelite tribes.

Some from the tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and Ephraim and Manasseh settled in Jerusalem. ¹ 

Azarel son of Jeroham led Dan. These were the commanders of the Israelite tribes.

He brought his people ¹  out enriched ²  with silver and gold; none of his tribes stumbled.

The Lord ¹  was king over Jeshurun, ²  when the leaders of the people assembled, the tribes of Israel together. ³ 

Merari’s descendants by their clans were allotted twelve cities from the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and Zebulun.
