“A disciple is not greater than his teacher, nor a slave ¹  greater than his master.

For there is more to life than food, and more to the body than clothing.

(Now Bethany was less than two miles ¹  from Jerusalem, ² 

treacherous, reckless, conceited, loving pleasure rather than loving God.

For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, ¹  and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. ²

But it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you!

For they loved praise ¹  from men more than praise ²  from God.
