Then ¹  two men, Moses and Elijah, ²  began talking with him. ³ 

(Now Jesus had been talking about ¹  his death, but they ²  thought he had been talking about real sleep.) ³ 

the chief men refrained from talking and covered their mouths with their hands;

In all hard work ¹  there is profit, but merely talking about it ²  only brings ³  poverty. ⁴ 

Then Moses ¹  and Elijah ²  also appeared before them, talking with him.

Then Elijah appeared before them along with Moses, ¹  and they were talking with Jesus.

They ¹  were talking to each other about all the things that had happened.

While ¹  they were talking and debating ²  these things, ³  Jesus himself approached and began to accompany them

Peter ¹  continued talking with him as he went in, and he found many people gathered together. ² 

“Refrain from talking ¹  with me so that ²  I may speak; then let come to me ³  what may. ⁴ 

But he denied it in front of them all: ¹  “I don’t know what you’re talking about!”

The disciples began to look at one another, worried and perplexed ¹  to know which of them he was talking about.

When David ¹  had finished talking with Saul, Jonathan and David became bound together in close friendship. ²  Jonathan loved David as much as he did his own life. ³ 

Now the king was talking to Gehazi, the prophet’s ¹  servant, and said, “Tell me all the great things which Elisha has done.”

But he denied it: ¹  “I don’t even understand what you’re talking about!” ²  Then ³  he went out to the gateway, and a rooster crowed. ⁴ 

Then he began to curse, and he swore with an oath, “I do not know this man you are talking about!”

But Peter said, “Man, I don’t know what you’re talking about!” At that moment, ¹  while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed. ² 

So they kept on repeating, ¹  “What is the meaning of what he says, ²  ‘In a little while’? ³  We do not understand ⁴  what he is talking about.” ⁵ 

As they were walking along and talking, suddenly a fiery chariot ¹  pulled by fiery horses appeared. ²  They went between Elijah and Elisha, ³  and Elijah went up to heaven in a windstorm.

He was still talking to them when ¹  the messenger approached ²  and said, “Look, the Lord is responsible for this disaster! ³  Why should I continue to wait for the Lord to help?”
