Like snow in summer or rain in harvest, so honor ¹  is not fitting for a fool. ² 

ants are creatures with little strength, but they prepare ¹  their food in the summer;

The sovereign Lord showed me this: I saw ¹  a basket of summer fruit. ² 

When they sprout leaves, you see ¹  for yourselves and know that summer is now near.

The one who gathers crops ¹  in the summer is a wise ²  son, but the one who sleeps ³  during the harvest is a son who brings shame to himself. ⁴
