Rejoice in hope, endure in suffering, persist in prayer.

Now ¹  a woman was there who had been suffering from a hemorrhage ²  for twelve years. ³ 

There ¹  right ²  in front of him was a man suffering from dropsy. ³ 

Not ¹  only this, but we also rejoice in sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,

Take your share of suffering ¹  as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.

“But in those days, after that suffering, ¹  the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light;

Then a famine occurred throughout ¹  Egypt and Canaan, causing ²  great suffering, and our ³  ancestors ⁴  could not find food.

For our momentary, light suffering ¹  is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison

But remember the former days when you endured a harsh conflict of suffering after you were enlightened.

Is anyone among you suffering? He should pray. Is anyone in good spirits? He should sing praises.

For this finds God’s favor, ¹  if because of conscience toward God ²  someone endures hardships in suffering unjustly.

But ¹  a woman who had been suffering from a hemorrhage ²  for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge ³  of his cloak. ⁴ 

For then there will be great suffering ¹  unlike anything that has happened ²  from the beginning of the world until now, or ever will happen.

For in those days there will be suffering ¹  unlike anything that has happened ²  from the beginning of the creation that God created until now, or ever will happen.

Now ¹  a woman was there who had been suffering from a hemorrhage ²  for twelve years ³  but could not be healed by anyone.

that during a severe ordeal of suffering, their abundant joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in the wealth ¹  of their generosity.

For I do not say this so there would be relief for others and suffering for you, but as a matter of equality.

For this reason I ask you ¹  not to lose heart because of what I am suffering for you, ²  which ³  is your glory. ⁴ 

This is evidence of God’s righteous judgment, to make you worthy ¹  of the kingdom of God, for which in fact you are suffering.

Endure your suffering ¹  as discipline; ²  God is treating you as sons. For what son is there that a father does not discipline?
