He ¹  attacks ²  his friends; ³  he breaks his solemn promises to them. ⁴ 

So he made a solemn vow ¹  that he would make them die ²  in the desert,

I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  the one who believes ²  has eternal life. ³ 

I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  if anyone obeys ²  my teaching, ³  he will never see death.” ⁴ 

Jesus answered them, “I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  everyone who practices ²  sin is a slave ³  of sin.

Jesus said to them, “I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  before Abraham came into existence, ²  I am!” ³ 

So Jesus said to them again, “I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  I am the door for the sheep. ² 

So the servant placed his hand under the thigh of his master Abraham and gave his solemn promise he would carry out his wishes. ¹ 

He continued, ¹  “I tell all of you the solemn truth ²  – you will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.” ³ 

Jesus replied, ¹  “I tell you the solemn truth, ²  unless a person is born from above, ³  he cannot see the kingdom of God.” ⁴ 

Jesus answered, “I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  unless a person is born of water and spirit, ²  he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  we speak about what we know and testify about what we have seen, but ²  you people ³  do not accept our testimony. ⁴ 

I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  whoever accepts ²  the one I send accepts me, and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me.” ³ 

When he had said these things, Jesus was greatly distressed ¹  in spirit, and testified, ²  “I tell you the solemn truth, ³  one of you will betray me.” ⁴ 

Jesus answered, “Will you lay down your life for me? ¹  I tell you the solemn truth, ²  the rooster will not crow until you have denied me three times!

I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  you will weep ²  and wail, ³  but the world will rejoice; you will be sad, ⁴  but your sadness will turn into ⁵  joy.

At that time ¹  you will ask me nothing. I tell you the solemn truth, ²  whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you. ³ 

For the law appoints as high priests men subject to weakness, ¹  but the word of solemn affirmation that came after the law appoints a son made perfect forever.

“To ¹  the angel of the church in Pergamum write the following: ²  “This is the solemn pronouncement of ³  the one who has the sharp double-edged sword: ⁴ 

Stay ¹  in this land. Then I will be with you and will bless you, ²  for I will give all these lands to you and to your descendants, ³  and I will fulfill ⁴  the solemn promise I made ⁵  to your father Abraham.
