They worshiped ¹  their idols, which became a snare to them. ² 

We escaped with our lives, ¹  like a bird from a hunter’s snare. The snare broke, and we escaped.

A trap ¹  seizes him by the heel; a snare ²  grips him.

Can anyone catch it by its eyes, ¹  or pierce its nose with a snare? ² 

he will certainly rescue you from the snare of the hunter ¹  and from the destructive plague.

lest you learn ¹  his ways and entangle yourself in a snare. ² 

Terror, pit, and snare are ready to overtake you inhabitants of the earth! ¹ 

May their dining table become a trap before them! May it be a snare for that group of friends! ¹

And David says, “Let their table become a snare and trap, a stumbling block and a retribution for them;

Be careful not to make ¹  a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you are going, lest it become a snare ²  among you.

Proud men hide a snare for me; evil men ¹  spread a net by the path; they set traps for me. (Selah)

Suddenly he went ¹  after her like an ox that goes to the slaughter, like a stag prancing into a trapper’s snare ² 

You must destroy ¹  all the people whom the Lord your God is about to deliver over to you; you must not pity them or worship ²  their gods, for that will be a snare to you.
