For my eyes have seen your salvation ¹ 

because we are not looking at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen. For what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal.

(Not that anyone has seen the Father except the one who is from God – he ¹  has seen the Father.) ² 

Isaiah ¹  asked, “What have they seen in your palace?” Hezekiah replied, “They have seen everything in my palace. I showed them everything ²  in my treasuries.”

Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are the people ¹  who have not seen and yet have believed.” ² 

Your eyes have seen the great judgments, ¹  those signs and mighty wonders.

You have seen their detestable things ¹  and idols of wood, stone, silver, and gold.) ² 

Manoah said to his wife, “We will certainly die, because we have seen a supernatural being!” ¹ 

I myself ¹  have seen the fool ²  taking root, but suddenly I cursed his place of residence. ³ 

“Indeed, my eyes have seen all this, ²  my ears have heard and understood it.

His flesh wastes away from sight, and his bones, which were not seen, are easily visible. ¹ 

All humanity has seen it; people gaze on it from afar.

Have you entered the storehouse ¹  of the snow, or seen the armory ²  of the hail,

Yes, ¹  in the sanctuary I have seen you, ²  and witnessed ³  your power and splendor.

Here is ¹  another misfortune ²  that I have seen on earth, ³  and it weighs ⁴  heavily on people: ⁵ 

I have seen another ¹  misfortune ²  on the earth: ³  It is an error a ruler makes. ⁴ 

I have seen slaves ¹  on horseback and princes walking on foot ²  like slaves.

You have seen the wrong done to me, O Lord; pronounce judgment on my behalf! ¹
