Then ¹  the women remembered his words, ² 

Peter remembered and said to him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered.”

His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal ¹  for your house will devour me.” ² 

and said, ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard and your acts of charity ¹  have been remembered before God. ² 

because her sins have piled ¹  up all the way to heaven ²  and God has remembered ³  her crimes. ⁴ 

Then Peter remembered what Jesus had said: “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly. ¹ 

So after he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the scripture ¹  and the saying ²  that Jesus had spoken.

And I remembered the word of the Lord, ¹  as he used to say, ²  ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’ ³ 

Immediately a rooster ¹  crowed a second time. Then ²  Peter remembered what Jesus had said to him: “Before a rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” And he broke down and wept. ³ 

Then ¹  the Lord turned and looked straight at Peter, and Peter remembered the word of the Lord, ²  how he had said to him, “Before a rooster crows today, you will deny me three times.”

(His disciples did not understand these things when they first happened, ¹  but when Jesus was glorified, ²  then they remembered that these things were written about him and that these things had happened ³  to him.) ⁴ 

The ¹  great city was split into three parts and the cities of the nations ²  collapsed. ³  So ⁴  Babylon the great was remembered before God, and was given the cup ⁵  filled with the wine made of God’s furious wrath. ⁶
