And they began to beg ¹  him not to order ²  them to depart into the abyss. ³ 

When it returns, ¹  it finds the house ²  swept clean and put in order. ³ 

and he was designated ¹  by God as high priest in the order of Melchizedek. ² 

Peter ¹  said to him, ²  “Lord, if it is you, order me to come to you on the water.”

He also said to them, “You neatly reject the commandment of God in order to set up ¹  your tradition.

But each in his own order: Christ, the firstfruits; then when Christ comes, those who belong to him. ¹ 

In Damascus, the governor ¹  under King Aretas was guarding the city of Damascus ²  in order to arrest ³  me,

as also in another place God ¹  says, “You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.” ² 

where Jesus our forerunner entered on our behalf, since he became a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek. ¹ 

For here is the testimony about him: ¹  “You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.” ² 

For you need endurance in order to do God’s will and so receive what is promised. ¹ 

Then it says, ‘I will return to the home I left.’ ¹  When it returns, ²  it finds the house ³  empty, swept clean, and put in order. ⁴ 

Then some Pharisees ¹  came to him in order to test him. They asked, “Is it lawful ²  to divorce a wife for any cause?” ³ 

For he had healed many, so that all who were afflicted with diseases pressed toward him in order to touch him.

After this Jesus, realizing that by this time ¹  everything was completed, ²  said (in order to fulfill the scripture), ³  “I am thirsty!” ⁴ 

so they too have now been disobedient in order that, by the mercy shown to you, they too may now ¹  receive mercy.

For since I am free from all I can make myself a slave to all, in order to gain even more people. ¹ 

If I give away everything I own, and if I give over my body in order to boast, ¹  but do not have love, I receive no benefit.

It is the same with you. Since you are eager for manifestations of the Spirit, ¹  seek to abound in order to strengthen the church.

But ¹  we did not surrender to them ²  even for a moment, ³  in order that the truth of the gospel would remain with you. ⁴
