For you are the one who gives and sustains life. ¹ 

He gives strength to those who are tired; to the ones who lack power, he gives renewed energy.

Then when desire conceives, it gives birth to sin, and when sin is full grown, it gives birth to death.

But he gives greater grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but he gives grace to the humble.” ¹ 

For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, ¹  so also the Son gives life to whomever he wishes. ² 

The Lord both kills and gives life; he brings down to the grave ¹  and raises up.

He gives me the agility of a deer; ¹  he enables me to negotiate the rugged terrain. ² 

Seek the Lord and the strength he gives! Seek his presence ¹  continually!

he gives ¹  rain on the earth, ²  and sends ³  water on the fields; ⁴ 

The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life. ¹ 

Then he gives a revelation ¹  to people, and terrifies them with warnings, ² 

But no one says, ‘Where is God, my Creator, who gives songs in the night, ¹ 

He does not allow the wicked to live, ¹  but he gives justice to the poor.

For no one remembers you in the realm of death, ¹  In Sheol who gives you thanks? ² 

The one true God ¹  gives ²  me strength; ³  he removes ⁴  the obstacles in my way. ⁵ 

He gives me the agility of a deer; ¹  he enables me to negotiate the rugged terrain. ² 

The Lord gives ¹  his people strength; ²  the Lord grants his people security. ³ 

Nations are in uproar, kingdoms are overthrown. ¹  God ²  gives a shout, ³  the earth dissolves. ⁴ 

Patiently wait for God alone, my soul! ¹  For he is the one who gives me confidence. ² 

Seek the Lord and the strength he gives! Seek his presence continually!
