Therefore produce fruit ¹  that proves your ²  repentance,

“For ¹  no good tree bears bad ²  fruit, nor again ³  does a bad tree bear good fruit,

He takes away ¹  every branch that does not bear ²  fruit in me. He ³  prunes ⁴  every branch that bears ⁵  fruit so that it will bear more fruit.

So then, you will recognize them by their fruit.

From the fruit of his speech ¹  a person eats good things, ²  but the faithless ³  desire ⁴  the fruit of violence. ⁵ 

In the same way, every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad ¹  tree bears bad fruit.

A good tree is not able to bear bad fruit, nor a bad tree to bear good fruit.

“Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad ¹  and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is known by its fruit.

Israel was a fertile vine that yielded fruit. As his fruit multiplied, he multiplied altars to Baal. ¹  As his land prospered, they adorned the fertility pillars.

In the fourth year all its fruit will be holy, praise offerings ¹  to the Lord.

Those who remain in Judah will take root in the ground and bear fruit. ¹ 

He gave their crops to the grasshopper, the fruit of their labor to the locust.

They cultivated ¹  fields, and planted vineyards, which yielded a harvest of fruit. ² 

Yes, ¹  sons ²  are a gift from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.

you mountains and all you hills, you fruit trees and all you cedars,

Those who remain in Judah will take root in the ground and bear fruit. ¹ 

They will build houses and live in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

The sovereign Lord showed me this: I saw ¹  a basket of summer fruit. ² 

Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
