So ¹  they gave him a piece of broiled fish,

What father among you, if your ¹  son asks for ²  a fish, will give him a snake ³  instead of a fish?

Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? ¹ 

They ¹  said to him, “We have here only five loaves and two fish.”

and they picked up the broken pieces and fish that were left over, twelve baskets full.

When ¹  they had done this, they caught so many fish that their nets started to tear. ² 

Jesus said, ¹  “Bring some of the fish you have just now caught.”

He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. He ¹  gave them to his ²  disciples to serve the people, and he divided the two fish among them all.

Jesus said to them, “How many loaves do you have?” They replied, “Seven – and a few small fish.”

They also had a few small fish. After giving thanks for these, he told them to serve these as well.

For ¹  Peter ²  and all who were with him were astonished ³  at the catch of fish that they had taken,

So Jesus said to them, “Children, you don’t have any fish, ¹  do you?” ²  They replied, ³  “No.”

Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish.

All flesh is not the same: People have one flesh, animals have another, birds and fish another. ¹ 

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was cast into the sea that caught all kinds of fish.

When it was full, they pulled it ashore, sat down, and put the good fish into containers and threw the bad away.

He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” When they found out, they said, “Five – and two fish.”

“Here is a boy who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what good ¹  are these for so many people?”

Meanwhile the other disciples came with the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from land, only about a hundred yards. ¹ 

When they got out on the beach, ¹  they saw a charcoal fire ready ²  with a fish placed on it, and bread.
