“‘If a man beats any person to death, ¹  he must be put to death.

“Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” ¹ 

He humbled himself, by becoming obedient to the point of death – even death on a cross!

One who beats an animal to death ¹  must make restitution for it, but ²  one who beats a person to death must be put to death.

After Abraham’s death, God blessed ¹  his son Isaac. Isaac lived near Beer Lahai Roi. ² 

¹ “Whoever strikes someone ²  so that he dies ³  must surely be put to death. ⁴ 

“Whoever strikes ¹  his father or his mother must surely be put to death.

“Whoever treats his father or his mother disgracefully ¹  must surely be put to death.

“Whoever has sexual relations ¹  with a beast must surely be put to death.
