When the people cried to Moses, he ¹  prayed to the Lord, and the fire died out. ² 

Then Moses cried to the Lord, “Heal her now, O God.” ¹ 

When the Israelites cried out to the Lord for help because of Midian,

“If my land cried out against me ²  and all its furrows wept together,

To the Lord I cried out, ¹  and he answered me from his holy hill. ²  (Selah)

O Lord my God, I cried out to you and you healed me. ¹ 

To you, O Lord, I cried out; I begged the Lord for mercy: ¹ 

This oppressed man cried out and the Lord heard; he saved him ¹  from all his troubles.

I cried out to him for help ¹  and praised him with my tongue. ² 

They cried out to the Lord in their distress; he delivered them from their troubles.

When ¹  I cried out for help, you answered me. You made me bold and energized me. ² 

Then Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and gave up his spirit.

Immediately the father of the boy cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!”

But Jesus cried out with a loud voice and breathed his last.

¹ The Israelite foremen went and cried out to Pharaoh, “Why are you treating ²  your servants this way?

Israel was so severely weakened by Midian that the Israelites cried out to the Lord for help.
