Another ¹  said, ‘I just got married, and I cannot come.’ ² 

Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot take part in the table of the Lord and the table of demons.

You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill cannot be hidden.

Whoever does not carry his own cross ¹  and follow ²  me cannot be my disciple.

“I have many more things to say to you, ¹  but you cannot bear ²  them now.

For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the sake of the truth.

Similarly good works are also obvious, and the ones that are not cannot remain hidden.

If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, since he cannot deny himself. ¹ 

For the blood of bulls and goats cannot take away sins. ¹ 

because we are not looking at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen. For what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal.

So ¹  Jesus said to them, “You cannot make the wedding guests ²  fast while the bridegroom ³  is with them, can you? ⁴ 

So if ¹  you cannot do such a very little thing as this, why do you worry about ²  the rest?

The world cannot hate you, but it hates me, because I am testifying about it that its deeds are evil.

You will look for me ¹  but will not find me, and where I am you cannot come.”

Why don’t you understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot accept ¹  my teaching. ² 

If those people to whom the word of God came were called ‘gods’ (and the scripture cannot be broken), ¹ 

Paul said to the centurion ¹  and the soldiers, “Unless these men stay with the ship, you ²  cannot be saved.”

For I consider that our present sufferings cannot even be compared ¹  to the glory that will be revealed to us.

For we have brought nothing into this world and so ¹  we cannot take a single thing out either.
