Then you will call ¹  your ²  brother, “My People” (Ammi)! You will call your sister, “Pity” (Ruhamah)!

But this I call ¹  to mind; ²  therefore I have hope:

“At that time,” ¹  declares the Lord, “you will call, ²  ‘My husband’; ³  you will never again call me, ⁴  ‘My master.’ ⁵ 

But she replied ¹  to them, ²  “Don’t call me ‘Naomi’! ³  Call me ‘Mara’ ⁴  because the Sovereign One ⁵  has treated me very harshly. ⁶ 

These people, as well as the Anakites, are also considered Rephaites; ¹  the Moabites call them Emites.

Call to mind now: ¹  Who, ²  being innocent, ever perished? ³  And where were upright people ⁴  ever destroyed? ⁵ 

Then call, ¹  and I will answer, or I will speak, and you respond to me.

Will he find delight ¹  in the Almighty? Will he call out to God at all times?

As for me, I will call out to God, and the Lord will deliver me.

Give thanks to the Lord! Call on his name! Make known his accomplishments among the nations!

I will celebrate my deliverance, ¹  and call on the name of the Lord.

I will present a thank offering to you, and call on the name of the Lord.

indeed, if ¹  you call out for ²  discernment ³  – raise your voice ⁴  for understanding –

Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” ¹  and call understanding a close relative,

Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice?
