But Jesus cried out with a loud voice and breathed his last.

And after he said this, he breathed on them and said, ¹  “Receive the Holy Spirit. ² 

Ishmael lived a total of ¹  137 years. He breathed his last and died; then he joined his ancestors. ²

The Israelites plundered all the goods of these cities and the cattle, but they totally destroyed all the people ¹  and allowed no one who breathed to live.

Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” ¹  And after he said this he breathed his last.

Joshua defeated the whole land, including the hill country, the Negev, the lowlands, ¹  the slopes, and all their kings. He left no survivors. He annihilated everything that breathed, just as the Lord God of Israel had commanded.

When he became king, he executed Jeroboam’s entire family. He wiped out everyone who breathed, ¹  just as the Lord had predicted ²  through his servant Ahijah the Shilonite.
