Then ¹  he bent over again and wrote on the ground.

¹ The Lord supports all who fall, and lifts up all who are bent over. ² 

What is bent ¹  cannot be straightened, ²  and what is missing ³  cannot be supplied. ⁴ 

Consider the work of God: For who can make straight what he has bent?

Because they are bent on violence, do not let them escape! ¹  In your anger ²  bring down the nations, ³  O God!

He bent down ¹  and saw the strips of linen cloth lying there, ²  but he did not go in.

But Mary stood outside the tomb weeping. As she wept, she bent down and looked into the tomb.

As for those who are bent on traveling a sinful path, ¹  may the Lord remove them, ²  along with those who behave wickedly! ³  May Israel experience peace! ⁴ 

The Lord gives sight to the blind. The Lord lifts up all who are bent over. ¹  The Lord loves the godly.

and a woman was there ¹  who had been disabled by a spirit ²  for eighteen years. She ³  was bent over and could not straighten herself up completely. ⁴ 

But Peter got up and ran to the tomb. ¹  He bent down ²  and saw only the strips of linen cloth; ³  then he went home, ⁴  wondering ⁵  what had happened. ⁶ 

But what was the divine response ¹  to him? “I have kept for myself seven thousand people ²  who have not bent the knee to Baal.” ³ 

So Ahab went on up to eat and drink, while Elijah climbed to the top of Carmel. He bent down toward the ground and put his face between his knees.

Elisha ¹  went back and walked around in the house. ²  Then he got up on the bed again ³  and bent down over him. The child sneezed seven times and opened his eyes.

(Now they were asking this in an attempt to trap him, so that they could bring charges against ¹  him.) ²  Jesus bent down and wrote on the ground with his finger. ³ 

He got up on the bed and spread his body out over ¹  the boy; he put his mouth on the boy’s ²  mouth, his eyes over the boy’s eyes, and the palms of his hands against the boy’s palms. He bent down over him, and the boy’s skin ³  grew warm.
