To you, O Lord, I cried out; I begged the Lord for mercy: ¹ 

He begged Jesus ¹  repeatedly not to send them out of the region.

And the demonic spirits ¹  begged him, “Send us into the pigs. Let us enter them.”

I ¹  begged ²  your disciples to cast it out, but ³  they could not do so.” ⁴ 

Then the demons begged him, ¹  “If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.”

They begged him if ¹  they could only touch the edge of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed.

Then his fellow slave threw himself down and begged him, ¹  ‘Be patient with me, and I will repay you.’

The man from whom the demons had gone out begged to go ¹  with him, but Jesus ²  sent him away, saying,

When we heard this, both we and the local people ¹  begged him not to go up to Jerusalem.

He struggled ¹  with an angel and prevailed; he wept and begged for his favor. He found God ²  at Bethel, ³  and there he spoke with him! ⁴ 

Then ¹  the entire town ²  came out to meet Jesus. And when they saw him, they begged him to leave their region.

But he did not answer her a word. Then ¹  his disciples came and begged him, ²  “Send her away, because she keeps on crying out after us.”

Then his lord called the first slave ¹  and said to him, ‘Evil slave! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me!

Now a large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside, ¹  and the demonic spirits ²  begged Jesus ³  to let them go into them. He gave them permission. ⁴ 

and the blast of a trumpet and a voice uttering words ¹  such that those who heard begged to hear no more. ² 

Then Esther again spoke with the king, falling at his feet. She wept and begged him for mercy, that he might nullify the evil of Haman the Agagite which he had intended against the Jews. ¹ 

When Ephraim saw ¹  his sickness and Judah saw his wound, then Ephraim turned ²  to Assyria, and begged ³  its great king ⁴  for help. But he will not be able to heal you! He cannot cure your wound! ⁵ 

When he heard that Jesus had come back from Judea to Galilee, he went to him and begged him ¹  to come down and heal his son, who was about to die.

The king ¹  sent a third captain and his fifty soldiers. This third captain went up and fell ²  on his knees before Elijah. He begged for mercy, “Prophet, please have respect for my life and for the lives of these fifty servants of yours.

While ¹  Jesus ²  was in one of the towns, ³  a man came ⁴  to him who was covered with ⁵  leprosy. ⁶  When ⁷  he saw Jesus, he bowed down with his face to the ground ⁸  and begged him, ⁹  “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”
