The king said, “Turn aside and take your place here.” So he turned aside and waited.

Caravans ¹  turn aside from their routes; they go ²  into the wasteland ³  and perish. ⁴ 

The wicked turn aside from birth; ¹  liars go astray as soon as they are born. ² 

I do not turn aside from your regulations, for you teach me.

The enemies who chase me are numerous. ¹  Yet I do not turn aside from your rules.

But these people have stubborn and rebellious hearts. They have turned aside and gone their own way. ¹ 

So they put it aside until the morning, just as Moses had commanded, and it did not stink, nor were there any worms in it.
