An unjust person is an abomination to the righteous, and the one who lives an upright life is an abomination to the wicked. ¹ 

Doing wickedness ¹  is an abomination to kings, because a throne ²  is established in righteousness.

A foolish scheme ¹  is sin, and the scorner is an abomination to people. ² 

for one who goes astray ¹  is an abomination ²  to the Lord, but he reveals ³  his intimate counsel ⁴  to the upright.

There are six things that the Lord hates, even ¹  seven ²  things that are an abomination to him: ³ 

The wicked person’s sacrifice ¹  is an abomination; how much more ²  when he brings it with evil intent! ³ 

The one who turns away his ear ¹  from hearing the law, even his prayer ²  is an abomination. ³ 

The one who acquits the guilty and the one who condemns the innocent ¹  – both of them are an abomination to the Lord. ² 

His forces ¹  will rise up and profane the fortified sanctuary, ²  stopping the daily sacrifice. In its place they will set up ³  the abomination that causes desolation.

From the time that the daily sacrifice is removed and the abomination that causes desolation is set in place, ¹  there are 1,290 days.

“So when you see the abomination of desolation ¹  – spoken about by Daniel the prophet – standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),

“But when you see the abomination of desolation ¹  standing where it should not be (let the reader understand), then those in Judea must flee ²  to the mountains.

But Moses said, “That would not be the right thing to do, ¹  for the sacrifices we make ²  to the Lord our God would be an abomination ³  to the Egyptians. ⁴  If we make sacrifices that are an abomination to the Egyptians right before their eyes, ⁵  will they not stone us? ⁶ 

If a man has sexual intercourse with a male as one has sexual intercourse with a woman, ¹  the two of them have committed an abomination. They must be put to death; their blood guilt is on themselves.
