But others jeered at the speakers, ¹  saying, “They are drunk on new wine!” ² 

I have become the laughingstock of all people, ¹  their mocking song ²  all day long. ³

Bear with me ¹  and I ²  will speak, and after I have spoken ³  you may mock. ⁴

For with mocking lips and a foreign tongue he will speak to these people. ¹ 

you are guilty because of the blood you shed and defiled by the idols you made. You have hastened the day of your doom; ¹  the end of your years has come. ²  Therefore I will make ³  you an object of scorn to the nations, an object to be mocked by all lands.
