I was ignorant ¹  and lacked insight; ²  I was as senseless as an animal before you. ³ 

He is able to deal compassionately with those who are ignorant and erring, since he also is subject to weakness,

But reject foolish and ignorant ¹  controversies, because you know they breed infighting. ² 

so that we may not be exploited ¹  by Satan (for we are not ignorant of his schemes).

If someone does not recognize this, he is not recognized.

With regard to spiritual gifts, ¹  brothers and sisters, ²  I do not want you to be uninformed. ³ 

The woman called Folly ¹  is brash, ²  she is naive ³  and does not know ⁴  anything. ⁵ 

But this rabble ¹  who do not know the law are accursed!”

For ignoring the righteousness that comes from God, and seeking instead to establish their own righteousness, they did not submit to God’s righteousness.

For I do not want you to be unaware, ¹  brothers and sisters, ²  that our fathers were all under the cloud and all passed through the sea,

he is conceited and understands nothing, but has an unhealthy interest in controversies and verbal disputes. This gives rise to envy, dissension, slanders, evil suspicions,

Jesus ¹  said, “Even after all this, are you still so foolish?

Now we do not want you to be uninformed, ¹  brothers and sisters, ²  about those who are asleep, ³  so that you will not grieve like the rest who have no hope.

Surely ¹  I am more brutish ²  than any other human being, ³  and I do not have human understanding; ⁴ 

For God wants you ¹  to silence the ignorance of foolish people by doing good.

speaking of these things in all his letters. ¹  Some things in these letters ²  are hard to understand, things ³  the ignorant and unstable twist ⁴  to their own destruction, as they also do to the rest of the scriptures. ⁵ 

For we do not want you to be unaware, brothers and sisters, ¹  regarding the affliction that happened to us in the province of Asia, ²  that we were burdened excessively, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of living.

But ¹  these men, ²  like irrational animals – creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed ³  – do not understand whom ⁴  they are insulting, and consequently ⁵  in their destruction they will be destroyed, ⁶ 

They ¹  neither know nor understand. They stumble ²  around in the dark, while all the foundations of the earth crumble. ³ 

All their watchmen ¹  are blind, they are unaware. ²  All of them are like mute dogs, unable to bark. They pant, ³  lie down, and love to snooze.
