“Were you the first man ever born? Were you brought forth before the hills?

And they stood before Moses and Eleazar the priest and the leaders of the whole assembly at the entrance to the tent of meeting and said,

While they are still beginning to flower ¹  and not ripe for cutting, ²  they can wither away ³  faster ⁴  than any grass! ⁵ 

People will fear ¹  you ²  as long as the sun and moon remain in the sky, for generation after generation. ³ 

The fear of the Lord provides wise instruction, ¹  and before honor comes humility. ² 

Pride ¹  goes ²  before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. ³ 

Starting a quarrel ¹  is like letting out water; ²  stop it before strife breaks out! ³ 

Before destruction the heart ¹  of a person is proud, but humility comes ²  before honor. ³ 

A person’s gift ¹  makes room for him, and leads him ²  before important people.

You must not curse a deaf person or put a stumbling block in front of a blind person. ¹  You must fear ²  your God; I am the Lord.

You are to have the Levites stand before Aaron ¹  and his sons, and then offer them as a wave offering to the Lord.

set him ¹  before Eleazar the priest and before the whole community, and commission ²  him publicly. ³ 

She brought it to Saul and his servants, and they ate. Then they arose and left that same night.

The Lord struck down the Cushites before Asa and Judah. The Cushites fled,

But prior to this time, Eliashib the priest, a relative of Tobiah, had been appointed over the storerooms ¹  of the temple of our God.

Now they come into being, ¹  not in the past; before today you did not hear about them, so you could not say, ‘Yes, ²  I know about them.’

They went before Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the leaders and said, “The Lord told Moses to assign us land among our relatives.” ¹  So Joshua ²  assigned them land among their uncles, as the Lord had commanded. ³

So Moses did as the Lord commanded him; he took Joshua and set ¹  him before Eleazar the priest and before the whole community.

The inner sanctuary was 30 feet ¹  long, 30 feet wide, and 30 feet high. He plated it with gold, ²  as well as the cedar altar. ³
