He put the corpse into his own tomb, and they ¹  mourned over him, saying, “Ah, my brother!”

Jehoshaphat’s kingdom enjoyed peace; his God made him secure on every side. ¹ 

Then Moses placed the staffs before the Lord in the tent of the testimony. ¹ 

This is why ¹  the Lord permitted these nations to remain and did not conquer them immediately; ²  he did not hand them over to Joshua.

Solomon left all these items unweighed; there were so many of them they did not weigh the bronze. ¹ 

Elijah was afraid, ¹  so he got up and fled for his life to Beer Sheba in Judah. He left his servant there,

He made ten tables and set them in the temple, five on the right and five on the left. He also made one hundred gold bowls.

All Judah was happy about the oath, because they made the vow with their whole heart. They willingly sought the Lord and he responded to them. ¹  He made them secure on every side. ² 

The locusts went up over all the land of Egypt and settled down in all the territory ¹  of Egypt. It was very severe; ²  there had been no locusts like them before, nor will there be such ever again. ³ 

For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth and the sea and all that is in them, and he rested on the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy.

The Lord made them secure, ¹  in fulfillment of all he had solemnly promised their ancestors. ²  None of their enemies could resist them. ³ 

Then Samuel talked to the people about how the kingship would work. ¹  He wrote it all down on a scroll and set it before the Lord. Then Samuel sent all the people away to their homes.

He said to the people of Judah: ¹  “Let’s build these cities and fortify them with walls, towers, and barred gates. ²  The land remains ours because we have followed ³  the Lord our God and he has made us secure on all sides.” ⁴  So they built the cities ⁵  and prospered.
