I do not need to take ¹  a bull from your household or goats from your sheepfolds.

Then he brought near the sin offering bull ¹  and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the sin offering bull,

“Aaron is to present the sin offering bull which is for himself, and he is to make atonement on behalf of himself and his household. He is to slaughter the sin offering bull which is for himself,

That will please the Lord more than an ox or a bull with horns and hooves.

So Balak did just as Balaam had said. Balak and Balaam then offered on each ¹  altar a bull and a ram.

So Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered a bull and a ram on each altar.
