If ¹  God ²  puts no trust in ³  his servants ⁴  and attributes ⁵  folly ⁶  to his angels,

He has blocked ¹  my way so I cannot pass, and has set darkness ²  over my paths.

If God ¹  were to set his heart on it, ²  and gather in his spirit and his breath,

It makes the deep boil like a cauldron and stirs up the sea like a pot of ointment, ¹ 

But if the animals were weaker, he did not set the branches there. ¹  So the weaker animals ended up belonging to Laban ²  and the stronger animals to Jacob.

He must not place olive oil on it and he must not put frankincense on it, because it is a sin offering.

Balaam said to Balak, “Look, I have come to you. Now, am I able ¹  to speak ²  just anything? I must speak ³  only the word that God puts in my mouth.”
