Your house and your kingdom will stand before me ¹  permanently; your dynasty ²  will be permanent.’”

If you stop doing these things, ¹  I will allow you to continue to live in this land ²  which I gave to your ancestors as a lasting possession. ³ 

I will bring on you lasting shame and lasting disgrace which will never be forgotten!’”

Many of those who sleep in the dusty ground will awake – some to everlasting life, and others to shame and everlasting abhorrence. ¹ 

with the best ¹  of the ancient mountains and the harvest produced by the age-old hills;

These curses ¹  will be a perpetual sign and wonder with reference to you and your descendants. ² 

Will you keep to the old path ¹  that evil men have walked –

Will it make a pact ¹  with you, so you could take it ²  as your slave for life?

The Lord rules forever! ¹  The nations are driven out of his land. ² 

Take a good look! This is what the wicked are like, ¹  those who always have it so easy and get richer and richer. ² 

He drove his enemies back; he made them a permanent target for insults. ¹ 

it will remain stable, like the moon, ¹  his throne will endure like the skies.” ²  (Selah)

He established the earth on its foundations; it will never be upended.

This brought him a reward, an eternal gift. ¹ 

For he will never be upended; others will always remember one who is just. ¹
