The cliff to the north was closer to Micmash, the one to the south closer to Geba.

So we settled down in the valley opposite Beth Peor. ¹ 

It crossed to the slope in front of the Arabah to the north and descended into the Arabah.

the waters of Jarkon, and Rakkon, including the territory in front of Joppa.

He put “The Sea” on the south side, in the southeast corner.

All of the entrances ¹  were rectangular in shape ²  and they were arranged in sets of three. ³

They made two more ¹  gold rings and attached them to the bottom of the two shoulder pieces on the front of the ephod, close to the juncture above the waistband of the ephod.

He must bring them to the priest and present first the one that is for a sin offering. The priest ¹  must pinch ²  its head at the nape of its neck, but must not sever the head from the body. ³ 

“Speak to Aaron and tell him, ‘When you set up ¹  the lamps, the seven lamps are to give light ²  in front of the lampstand.’”

And Aaron did so; he set up the lamps to face toward the front of the lampstand, as the Lord commanded Moses.

Are they not across the Jordan River, ¹  toward the west, in the land of the Canaanites who live in the Arabah opposite Gilgal ²  near the oak ³  of Moreh?

He ¹  buried him in the land of Moab near Beth Peor, but no one knows his exact burial place to this very day.

Then he turned from those who were nearby to someone else and asked the same question, ¹  but they ²  gave him the same answer as before.
