He makes Lebanon skip like a calf and Sirion ¹  like a young ox. ² 

Who is like you, ¹  O Lord, among the gods? ²  Who is like you? – majestic in holiness, fearful in praises, ³  working wonders?

to the land of utter darkness, like the deepest darkness, and the deepest shadow and disorder, ¹  where even the light ²  is like darkness.” ³ 

Let them disappear ¹  like water that flows away! ²  Let them wither like grass! ³ 

Before the kindling is even placed under your pots, ¹  he ²  will sweep it away along with both the raw and cooked meat. ³ 

The depths have covered them, ¹  they went down to the bottom ²  like a stone.

I would give him an accounting of my steps; like a prince I would approach him.

For he ¹  is not a human being like I am, that ²  I might answer him, that we might come ³  together in judgment.

at the scent ¹  of water it will flourish ²  and put forth ³  shoots like a new plant.

Why do you pursue me like God does? ¹  Will you never be satiated with my flesh? ²
