A proclamation ¹  was circulated ²  throughout Judah and Jerusalem ³  that all the exiles were to be assembled in Jerusalem.

Those remaining in Zion, ¹  those left in Jerusalem, ²  will be called “holy,” ³  all in Jerusalem who are destined to live. ⁴ 

In unison give a joyful shout, O ruins of Jerusalem! For the Lord consoles his people; he protects ¹  Jerusalem.

He sent it after King Jeconiah, the queen mother, the palace officials, ¹  the leaders of Judah and Jerusalem, the craftsmen, and the metal workers had been exiled from Jerusalem. ²

So we came to Jerusalem, and we stayed there for three days.

Our feet are ¹  standing inside your gates, O Jerusalem.

Jerusalem ¹  is a city designed to accommodate an assembly. ² 

Pray ¹  for the peace of Jerusalem! May those who love her prosper! ² 

If I forget you, O Jerusalem, may my right hand be crippled! ¹ 

The Lord rebuilds Jerusalem, ¹  and gathers the exiles of Israel.

The words of the Teacher, ¹  the son ²  of David, king ³  in Jerusalem: ⁴ 

But Judah will reside securely forever, and Jerusalem will be secure ¹  from one generation to the next.

So I will set Judah on fire, and it will consume Jerusalem’s fortresses.” ¹ 

You ¹  build Zion through bloody crimes, ²  Jerusalem ³  through unjust violence.

The men of Benjamin, however, did not conquer the Jebusites living in Jerusalem. ¹  The Jebusites live with the people of Benjamin in Jerusalem to this very day. ² 

Nevertheless for David’s sake the Lord his God maintained his dynasty ¹  in Jerusalem by giving him a son ²  to succeed him ³  and by protecting Jerusalem. ⁴ 

He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned for twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. ¹  His mother ²  was Jehoaddan, who was from Jerusalem.

He was sixteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned for fifty-two years in Jerusalem. ¹  His mother’s name was Jecholiah, who was from Jerusalem.

Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he became king, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem. ¹  His mother ²  was Nehushta the daughter of Elnathan, from Jerusalem.
